Melbourne Wine Courses are all about providing a memorable experience. What makes us unique in Melbourne is that all courses are for one night only and run for 90 minutes. During this time you’ll sample at least 6 wines valued at over $200 with an experienced tutor. Our courses are designed so that people of all different wines levels can feel welcome in each class.
Our General Wine Course class is the perfect starting point for anybody who is interested in wine and would like to learn more about it. The aim is to provide you with a solid foundation on which to build and develop your wine education. Once equipped with the basics you will discover that your enjoyment of drinking wine is enhanced and your learning experience at future classes or tastings is all the better for it.

What’s this about new world vs old world and how does Pinot Noir fit into it? During this night, you’ll sample Pinot Noir from Australia, America, France and New Zealand and while doing so learn about the old world pinot noirs and the new world style of pinot noir produced in Australia and New Zealand. You’ll gain an understanding of each country’s style and why it is so. If you’re into Pinot Noir, you’ll find this night very enjoyable.
Perhaps the most unique course we hold each year. Our WSET qualified tutor will guide your through current vintages of top notch Australian reds and whites alongside back vintages of the same wines. During previous Aged wine nights, we’ve explored the 1998 Penfolds Bin 389 alongside the current release and sampled the 1999 Tim Adams Aberfeldy Shiraz alongside the 2010. If you’ve wondered about vintages of the same wines up to 10 years older, then this wine course is for you and your friends!

But we’ve saved a number of bottles especially for this course. You’ll be trying at least 6 wines from all parts of Australia that were rated 97 points by James Halliday. You’ll try Shiraz, Cabernet, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling and more so you gain a good understanding of how good each variety can be. If you’ve always wanted to sample the highest rated wines in Australia, then enrol in this course for 90 mins of wine bliss.
Piedmont’s are Italy’s biggest flavored and most famous red wines. This is where the legendary Barolo and Barbaresco and other noteworthy wines like Barbera, Dolcetto and Nebbiolo are produced. Do this course and you’ll see why these wines are the best in Italy.
During this night, you’ll sample Sparkling from Australia, France, Spain and Italy and while doing so learn about the different grapes, different styles and different names each country has for Sparkling.
